In a short post, respond to one of these topics. Don't feel the need to answer each question in order: use them to get your thoughts going.

1) If you currently have a job, describe a day in the life. What is your routine? What does your workplace look like? How would you describe the atmosphere? What changes would you make if you could?

2) Describe the image of work you had growing up. What kind of work did your parents (or other adults in your home) do? What did your parents or other adults in your house tell you about work? How did they talk about their own jobs? How do your ideas about work compare to theirs?

Remember to email me the address of your blog.

  1. I had a long boring day at work today. My routine at work is answering phones, admitting and transfering patients, charting, etc. My work place sometimes look depressing because of the sick patients and upset relatives. The amtoshere is like an equator that revoles with everyones moodswings that rotate around their work and personal life. I wouldn't change anything because this atmosphere teaches me how to deal with different personalities.

basically I create new style on one area of the store that is not selling as we want at the same time i have to work with 40- 50 people everyday and give them direction and follow up on them
and at the same time I have to deal with unhappy customers because didnt like the merchandise or their receipt is expired their is a lot of thing going on on one day that i end up so tired by the end of my shift that all i want is to go home and never come back however I love my pay check .....

  5. I used to work in a super-market and my daily routines were cashing customers groceries, restocking the store at night and sometimes unexpected chores we had to do. Working in the super-market you alwayz had to have a friendly deposition even if you were unhappy or sick, it played a very emotional toll on me and I really hated this job. I dont think there is any changes you could make of this job being you had to maintain a welcoming environment for customers, and keep the legendary policy " the Customer Is Always Right" going. I just wouldnt want to work as a cashier in a super-market again.

  7. I work where i see sick patients come in and out of my unit. There are times when the unit can be depressing when relatives lose an love one. Some times the can be boring when we dont have much patients and because my daily routine doesn't change. I admit patients, dischage patients, make charts, take charts apart, answer phones, etc. Where i work u have to deal with different personilies people who are very busy at work seems to be moody, so i have learned to not take it personal. I wouldn't change anything at my job because every day i learn something new .

  8. Well I dont have a job that pay me money, but I do have a job of being a parent. My job tittle is mom and duties are taking care of two beautifull kids. It's a full time job, meaning I work 24/7. If I'm lucky I get two breaks a month. My work place can be many locations, the main place in my home which is a warm kid friendly environment. The atmospher is usally normal if your use to kids crying, runninig up and down, a mess all over, and did I say noise, lots of it. Although it can can pretty crazy sometimes I wouldn'd change a thing except more hours in a day.

  10. My routine at my job is to put together whatever you order. I work at Freshdirect, it is an online supermarket. Our costumers are mainly from Manhattan and we always busy all the time. The atmosphere is really tough because we always rushing to get our job done. My bosses try to pressure to all employee, that make sure we focus the quality of our product. My manager favorite words" dont send a bad stuff to the costumer" but if you keep pressuring us to finish the job, of course some employee like myself wouldn't care anymore. Sometimes i'm really pissed off, i send bad product to the costumer to justify the situation of rushing. When i get home, I said to myself "shit i send a rottan tomatoes or rottan friuts to this address because i was mad to my boss and it wasn't the costumer's fault".
